A Complete Vivarium Setup |
|
Here we have a complete reptile setup. Designed for a spotted Python, and currently containing a Spotted Python (Antaresia Maculosa). I have only had this setup for about 8 months however need to sell because I am moving into a smaller house and won't have room for a lot of my stuff. I spent months acquiring everything I needed and now it has to go. If you are looking for a top class setup, here is EVERYTHING you need at an INCREDIBLE price. So what does this include you ask?

Spotted Python (Antaresia Maculosa) - Two and a half year Old Male, and very happy and healthy. As you can see he lives in a great home and feeds very well. Haven't ever had a problem feeding. Has shed a number of times, and every time has shed in one piece with no assistance. He is approximately 3ft long.
This is Lucifer. I filmed him striking and feeding but forgot to press record. Maybe I will try again next week.

Vivarium - 92cm Wide x 63cm High x 36cm Deep (outside dimensions) This was purchased brand new and still is virtually brand new. I was required to drill a small hole in the back to allow for the thermostat probes to measure temperature. It has two locking sliding doors, a removable top with opening lid. Under this is a metal grill in timber frame to allow easy access to the inside without having to open the doors. It also has an air vent in the side. A great vivarium that cost me a lot of money. Around $490 if my mind serves me correctly.

This is what your vivarium will look like at night. Quite stunning if I don't say so myself. A definite show piece. Looks better in real life of course.
Inside the lid of the vivarium. Here we see access to the UV fluorescent light as well as the ceramic heater. Just to the right of the UV batten is the night light fitting which can only just be seen.
Microclimate Ministat 100: Controls the heat mat temperature.
Microclimate DL1ME: This is a top class thermostat that works very well. This controls the temperature of the ceramic heater.
BRAND NEW - Exo Terra 100w ceramic Heater: Basically brand new. It was only used for one night. It didn't quite cope with the -4 degree temperature in the dead of winter so I had to upgrade.
URS Oz Black 250w ceramic heater: handles the low night temperatures perfectly.
Microclimate 16" x 12" heat mat
Digital In/Out Min/Max Thermometer: Measures the temperature at both ends of the Vivarium.
Reptistar 24" UV Fluorescent Tube Reptistar UVA/UVB Tubes are designed for use with all reptiles, promoting vitamin D3 and thus increasing your reptiles health, growth and well being through a high content of UVB (up to 5%) and UVA (up to 30%). Reptistar improves the natural colours of your reptiles by a 6500 Kelvin full spectrum light with a high colour rendering index ( group 1A). All reptiles will benefit from UVA/UVB wave lengths, they help increase appetite, activity and all round general health.
24" Black Fluorescent Fitting
Top of Descent: The tin is almost new. Only used once when the branches were first rid of insects.
One screw in light fitting with power cord and switch for night globe.
Two Arlec Timers: The timers time daily cycles for the night light and the UV Fluorescent light. So it's all automated, no needing to remember to turn lights on or off.
Large Dish: I usually use this for water.
Large cave
Exo Terra Greenery: Silk leaves that are easy to clean and look great. Purchased as two separate packs.
Exo Terra Medium Vines: They look great and help pull the branches together.
BRAND NEW - Large Professional snake handling hook. This is it, the top of the range in snake hooks. Starting at a mere 430mm collapsed, this snake hook extends to 1010mm in total length and can be adjusted to any size in between. Made with a quality aluminum shaft and stainless steel hook with a really good gripping handle, this snake hook is also light weight at only 7oz it is ideal for traveling.
Keeping Children's Pythons: This is a great little Australian made 30 page book specific to the husbandry of Children's Pythons. Straight to the point, it covers topics like species, handling, indoor and outdoor enclosures, heating & lighting, hibernation, ailments & disorders. It is ideal for the first time owner or someone who just wants to know more.
One Heat Light Cage: Brand new. It is the one that came with the vivarium but the 250w ceramic heater didn't fit in it so I had to make a cage that did fit which is the black one you see in the photos. It can still be used with the smaller ceramic heaters though.
Also contains a small branch hollowed out and gravel for the floor. All makes for an awesome automatically controlled system. As I said I spent a HUGE amount of time getting the right setup so my snake would be happiest. You won't get much better than this. All you need to do is take it home and plug it in.
